Elementary Supplies & Materials List


Schools closed for students Wednesday, November 25, and Monday, November 30. No meals will be served. Students who pick up meals on Tuesday, November 24 will receive FIVE (5) days worth of meals. 

During Thanksgiving week meal, schools will extend meal pickup hours on Monday, November 23 & Tuesday, November 24 from 8 AM - 3 PM.  Central, Sheridan, Ramos and South Mountain MS will remain open until 5 PM
*Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on 11/23 & 24 for Grades K-8

Starting December 1, ASD will reduce meal service to three days a week. Meals will be available on the following days at the above listed open pickup times: 

Tuesday, December 1, Wednesday, December 2, and Friday, December 4
Monday, December 7, Wednesday, December 9, and Friday, December 11
Monday, December 14, Wednesday, December 16, and Friday, December 18
Monday, December 21 and Wednesday, December 23 (5x meals)

In December, students will be given 2 meals each day and 3 meals on Fridays for the weekend.  More detail and menus.

Register for Kindergarten!  

Starting Monday, June 1, parents and guardians will be able to register children for Kindergarten in the Allentown School District online. 

If you or someone you know has a child who will turn five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2020, you can enroll fully online using the Sapphire online registration portal here: 

Muhlenberg Elementary School is one of 15 elementary schools located in the city of Allentown. 
The richness of The Allentown School District's diversity is strengthened by its central role in educating our students for America's future through academic excellence and celebrating the culturally responsive, athletic and artistic range of talent in the schools. ASD students originate from 51 countries and speak 26 languages. There are twenty-five academic buildings throughout the City. 

During the 2016-2017 school year, the district enrolled 16,628 students across 15 Elementary & Early Childhood Centers (7,976), 4 Middle Schools (3,421) and 3 High Schools (5,231).  The Allentown School District has 2,429 personnel.

89.1% of our families are denoted as Low Income, and 100% receive Free/Reduced Lunch.  ASD is the third largest urban school system out of 500 Districts in the Commonwealth and serves a community with a poverty rate of 38.64% of the City's population. (2013 Census).
