Governor Wolf Visits Muhlenberg

Governor Wolf Visits Muhlenberg
A snow storm did not keep the new Governor of Pennsylvania from stopping by Muhlenberg Elementary School to tour the school on Friday, March 6. Although it would have be fun to have the students in session, Governor Tom Wolf spent time with Dr. Russell Mayo, Superintendent; Melissa Smith, Principal; Jose Rosado, Jr., Muhlenberg Principal in Residence; several teachers from throughout the District; as well as Mayor Ed Pawlowski, Representative Mike Schlossberg; and Representative Peter Schweyer.

Followed by local and regional media, the group toured the school for about a half hour and then spent some time in the school's library to talk about Governor Wolf's education budget proposal.

It was a great opportunity Muhlenberg and the Allentown School District to show the Governor the District's commitment to education.
